TVC for The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation

In total we have produced four new TV-commercials for The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. We have further developed the concept "three out of four" which is a reference to the fact that we today save three out of four children with cancer. In our version, we've added animation to the films in order to add an extra dimension of magic and fantasy that only exists in the world of children.

The films were made by combining live-action with cell-animation, the old-school technique of hand-drawn illustrations frame by frame. The purpose was to create a warm and analogue film and as a result over 800 unique illustrations were drawn by hand.

In the four different versions we see the four ambassadors of The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation, namely: Måns Zelmerlöw, Loa Falkman, Christine Meltzer and Cecilia Forss.

The music was specially written by Martin Landqvist & Måns Zelmerlöw and as DOP we used three-time 'Guldbagge'-winner Jens Fischer.

Sponsor Billboards in the magic world of movies

In our creative work with the new billboards for Swedish TV-channel TV4, 2012 we focused on finding the best way of integration for the actual sponsor of the feauture film. As a result, we came up with the idea of the sponsor being present at the shoot of our fictious movie.

During the year we will follow our Hollywood actors throughout different made up movies. Sometimes they play the starring role by themselves and sometimes they are in the scenes together.

All billboards – twelve in total - start with a scene where we are right in the action. Suddenly the take ends, the digital backdrop disappears, the lights go off and we see how the actual scene was created – shot in a studio against green-screen.

As the illusion breaks, the Billboard Sponsor is presented.

Client: Momento Film
Title Sequence and Visual FX: Produced & Directed by Filmic Art

For Momento Film and their new feature documentary film The Guerilla Son we directed and produced the title sequence. This wonderful film is about the relationship between father and son and deals with questions about parenthood and heritage. Filmic Art also did the Visual FX in the film by using the power of animation to visualize the dreams for one of the main characters in the film.

Watch the film on SVT2 the 11th of December at 20.00. Don´t miss it! We think this is the best Documentary film of 2011 - for real!

For Åkestam Holst and their client Carlsberg we directed and produced this TV-commercial. The brief was to create an animated spot that felt like it was made 1910. Thus, we decided to go for Cut-Out as animation technique. The TV-commercial is the first in ten years for tha brand Apotekarnes Julmust and we are thus quite proud for both being given the responsibility and the end result. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Surrealist Motion

We have created a set of mesmerizing Surrealistic works with motion suited for flat-screens(LCD,LED,plasma). In our process, we have paraphrased certain objects from the masters of Surrealist visual art. But, we are not painters; instead we work with advanced computer graphics and professional motion footage in order to create our works. For us, Surrealism is a way of communication, stimulation of thought and a journey into the vast landscape of dreams. All works tell a story with a beginning and an ending, but it is up to the viewer to interpret the story, i.e. the perfect discussion topic at a social event. In the set-up of the scenes, we have been influenced, in our opinion, by two of the greatest Surrealists,
namely René Magritte and Salvador Dali

Title Sequence for TV4

Client: Fremantle/Blu

For our friends over at Fremantle we created this title sequence and motion graphics for a modern dating show. The brief from the channel was that they wanted to reach a male audience and thus the title sequence should be action-pacled and targeting both men and women.

Baroque Motion

Client: Filmic Art
Director: Jonathan Knape

Shown at Liljevalchs Spring Fair, Stockholm Jan-Mar 2010
Shown at SL Public Video Art Gallery, Skanstull Metro Station Stockholm Nov 2010- Aug 2011

We have created a set of mesmerizing Baroque works with motion suited for flat-screens(LCD,LED,plasma). In the process, we have taken inspiration from the masters of the 17th century Baroque painting and set our own scenes that bear resemblance with the old motifs yet bringing in the 21st century filmic art into the scenes.

In Renaissance Ecclesiastical art, the common theme had been to show an event prior to it taking place. In contrast, Baroque artists chose the most dramatic point, the moment when the action was occurring thus creat- ing works that were more easily understood by the illiterate masses. We have taken that dramatic point and extended it in time in order to investigate how the motifs of the Baroque age would turn out in our modern interpretation. The result is visually stunning living paintings that will have people gazing in awe.

“Stunning Imagery shows off Blu-ray’s crisp picture” Samantha Clark, Videobusiness

“...awesome...you can literally see every little detail of these paintings” W.Major & M.Keiser, IGN Entertainment

DEEP OCEAN EXPERIENCE

Client: Filmic Art

We have created an Ambient High Definition title in Stereoscopic 3D that bring the creatures of the Deep Oceans into peoples’ livingroom - thus, turning their TV into a mesmerizing Deep Ocean Environment.

Visit our dedicated website for more information

We allow the viewer to journey down to the black void of the Deep Oceans where an Alien World of mysterious and astonishing creatures rule the seas. As an added feature, viewers who have the new 3DTVs can also view the creatures in the new and novel stereographic 3D-format.

In our opinion, this title marks the start of a new ambient experience that stretch the industry standards both in terms of an artistic and a technical approach. The whole project produced in Maya and Mudbox, Rendered via 3Delight and Muster.

Below are some stills from the 3d production:
